Shivani Patel, PA-C, is a Board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in Dermatology in the Melbourne area for over 10 years (since 2013).
Shivani earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University, New Jersey. She conducted clinical research at JFK University Medical Center and published articles in peer-reviewed medical journals in the fields of sleep medicine and movement disorders. She also received the Excellence in Research Award from Rutgers University for three consecutive years. After completing her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Seton Hall University, New Jersey, she practiced Internal Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine before pursuing her true passion, Dermatology. Shivani is grateful for the journey that led her to Dermatology and feels this is where she can serve best.
Shivani offers meticulous skin exams and has extensive knowledge and expertise in skin cancer detection, surveillance, surgical and non-surgical treatments of cancerous and benign growths, skin cancer prevention, and anti-aging. She excels at diagnosing and managing various skin conditions.
She is licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine, accredited by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, dancing, creating personalized photo books, and spending quality time with family and friends.
