The Fraxel Dual is one of many skincare services offered at ShadeTree Dermatology in Cocoa Beach and Rockledge, Florida. Our practice is pleased to offer this device for patients looking to treat a variety of concerns, such as photodamaged skin. Let’s look at some common questions about the Fraxel Dual and how it works to refresh and rejuvenate the skin in adult men and women.
Dr. Vanessa Johnson and her team describe the Fraxel Dual device as a revolutionary laser system for cosmetic and medical treatments. It uses fractional laser technology to target specific areas of the skin, known as microthermal zones, resulting in a more precise and effective skincare treatment.
The Fraxel Dual device has two different wavelengths: 1927 nanometers (nm) and 1550 nm. The 1927 nm wavelength targets the skin’s outermost layers, making it ideal for treating pigmentation issues like sun spots and age spots. On the other hand, the 1550 nm wavelength penetrates deeper into the skin, making it great for treating wrinkles, acne scars, and other imperfections.
Many treatment options are available to treat certain skin concerns like pigmentation, wrinkles, and acne scars. However, the Fraxel Dual device offers several unique benefits that make it stand out from other treatments:
